Supply Chain Planner (United Kingdom,Leeds)

The main purpose of the Supply Chain Planner is to manage Innovation projects across Europe from concept to delivery taking responsibility for the timings in the project plan to ensure delivery on time in full. Key Responsibilities Responsible for managing the project plans from start through to implementation helping to scope the project defining activities and timings required to get capability and move into production. This will include ensuring that the Supply Chain has the necessary capacities and capabilities to produce the innovations. The successful candidate will control the timings and ensure that the new products are delivered &quot on time in full&quot to the markets Working in cross functional teams led by marketing with representatives from technical functions as required the innovation planner forms a key role by holding the individuals accountable for the delivery of their activities and ensuring the project remains &quot on track&quot throughout the project Smaller country specific requirements often require managing projects to very tight timescales therefore an ability to work under tight timescales is essential As a supply chain member of cross functional innovation teams the manager will provide links into Category Supply &amp Material Supply Teams Relevant Manufacturing Units and or 3rd Party Manufacturing Teams updating on project Brand specifics in key communication meetings Working with key countries to ensure a customer focus in both the delivery of innovation projects and implementation of best practice ensuring end-to-end supply chain costs are minimised. The successful applicant will be responsible for all new logistics data. An aptitude for using systems e.g. Esap Apo &amp Excel is therefore important. Other activities in which the individual will be involved are cost savings projects &amp production transfers between sites. The Supply Chain Planner will also play a key role in reducing the complexity of the product portfolio where possible Person Specification Essential Criteria Degree level qualified ideally although consideration will be given to those with significant working experience.
